Another Strange Dream

I have had yet another strange dream, which seems to happen to me a lot.

In my dream, I was at a restaurant with my little brother. We were sitting on a terrace, you know, one of those things that is kind of outside. Anyway, I was just given my food, when a giant squid started attacking. The owner of the restaurant wanted us to get rid of the squid, so we agreed. I threw a shrimp at the squid, and it ate it. Then I gave it the rest of my dinner, and the squid was happy, so it went away. However, the restaurant owner was mad at us because he thought we were going to destroy the squid, and now the squid is going to come back and expect to be fed.

I liked the squid.

Maybe I'm just a nutshell.

Strange Dream Last Night

Last night I had a really weird dream. I dreamed that I wrote a book that was about three princes that dressed up in Masquerade-like costumes of three birds. A sparrow, a raven and a thrush. Then they went to a princess's party and danced around in a circle dance. It was really weird and non-explanatory. And there was this guy named Jaccobo who looked like a cuter version of a goblin. He went around and picked locks and stole people's cars. And then he was turned into a cat that looked like my pet cat, Tay. An orange stripped tabby. Anyway, my book was published, and this girl in my neighborhood read it and then wanted to marry my cat because she thought it was Jaccobo. So her parents arranged a marriage with my parents, and my parents thought she wanted to marry my brother. But I knew better. So while my family was preparing for this wonderful wedding, I was trying to keep this little girl away from my cat and trying to convinced her that he is just a cat. He's not a person-thing in disguise.

Yeah, and that was my weird dream. I like to make my dreams into books, but I think I may leave the most of this one alone. But the three princes that dressed up as birds sounded really good, and I think I may use Jaccobo in a story.

Don't ask me where any of this comes from. I was all asleep when it happpened.

Updates on project and life.

I'm just going to update what has been happening in my life so far.

As those who read this blog know, my last post told about how my crab escaped and scared the crap out of me. Well, for those of you who don't believe in Karma, here's one for you.

My crab died soon after posting on my blog. The universe does not want you to scare me.

On the my little pony front, I've just received all the bait ponies in the mail that I bought on line. I'm very excited about fixing them up. Today I received my last box, and got a carousel pony in the batch. I was very excited about that. But what I've done so far is cleaned up about four of them, and I started painting one. It doesn't look very good because I had too big of a brush, but I bought some smaller ones. So I'll be painting again today.

I'm also on another project. Bot-con is coming up soon, and I'll be going this year. I started working on my transformers hats. I have enough material, and I just learned how to use my new sewing machine. It's all fancy-shmancy with an LED screen and different buttons to press. I was so scared I would break it or that I wouldn't know how to use it, it's so high-tech. But it's not too bad if I just want to do a simple stitch. I'm not going to touch anything else.

As for my book, I believe that I'm a fourth of the way through my novel. I'm kind of stuck on my next chapter, but I'm going to try real hard to work on it today. I'm going to try to write two chapters a week. In fact, I should be working on it right now. Opse. Anyway, I also started another writing project. I started writing a church story that's a parable. It'll only be about three pages long, but I'd like to make it into a short picture story like those one books with the wooden puppets that Deseret Books always sells. I hope anyway.

Another project I've been working on is a puzzle that has been sitting on our coffee table for over two weeks. I started working on it during General Conference because that's the easiest way for me to listen to the speakers. Anyway, I usually can finish a whole puzzle during Conference, but this one was really really hard. There's only about fifty pieces left, but I still can't get myself to finish it.

I was so freakin' scared.

Okay, my husband and I like to shop at DI, and I usually get books when I'm there. Well, a few days ago, I bought some books, and I left them on the floor just because I was lazy this week. Just a minutes ago, I decided to clean up a bit and pick them up. I pulled out a My Little Pony I bought there, and put it in my pony basket, then went into the bedroom to put my books away when I felt something that wasn't a book and was moving. I look down and saw this black round shape with many legs.

I did what any girl would do.

I screamed my head off, threw everything on the ground and backed away. Then I screamed again.

My husband, being a good husband, was washing dishes. He heard my terrified screams, stayed at the sink and yelled if I was okay.

My reply was something like this: "HOLY CRAP!"

Yes, I too believed what was in my hand was a giant spider. No, like you I was wrong. It was in fact, our red claw crab that lives in our aquarium's filter. Yes, you heard me. The crab lives in the filter and not the aquarium itself. He crawled up there two months ago, and we just left him there since he liked it. Well, today he decided to get out and go for a walk. And that's where I found him.

Once my husband knew what I was screaming about, he retrieved the fish net, caught the little sucker, and dumped him in the tank. And for a while now, we've been trying to figure out how to keep him in there, because crabs will die within two hours of being out of water. Right now, we've saran wrapped around the filter, to prevent him from just getting out of the tank. To prevent him from getting into the filter, we've put a vase in the tank that's tall enough to fit over the bottom of the filter. We're not sure if it'll work, but it's the best we can do for right now.

ponies and ebay

It's been a while since I blogged, and a lot of stuff have been happening.

First off, as the people know who read this (hopefully there's two of you *eyes audience*) know that I'm into My Little Ponies. It's really silly of me, but kind of fun. In the past week, I bought a lot of bait ponies, and I've gotten some in the mail. Right now, I'm washing them, and plotting what to do to them.

My first pony that I started working on had marker and pen marks all over her, and her mane and tail were cut. I had to soak her in hot water so that the glue around her head would melt a little, and that I could cut and remove the head. Once I did that, I pulled out her mane and tail. Her tail had rust and mold growing on it, as did the mane and all inside the pony. I then cleaned out the inside, which was not very easy or pretty. It involved Q-tips, cotton swaps, tooth picks and all sorts of cleaners. Once the insides were clean, I started on the outside. Using nail polish remover, I was able to get everything off except one color of the cutie mark (aka, the butt tattoo on the pony's flank). I did everything to get those marks off. I tried all sorts of cleaners, I tried soaking it in the cleaners, I tried gasoline and scrubbing it as hard as I could without trying to scratch the plastic. It's still there. Grrrr.

So, I'm going to try some peroxide next, and if that fails I have to find some acetone. Yay.

Now, I have about five more ponies in line that I want to try and clean up and custom make. There is one that I don't want to custom make. She's in really good condition, except for her mane. If I just replace it, she'd be in great condition. So I might just do that. Her cutie mark is painted all the way to her neck.

Plans for the ponies, you'll have to wait and see.

On another note, I've been learning to sell on ebay. It was totally exciting. I can't believe how much time I spent checking to see if I sold anything. But it's nice to get rid of a bunch of my stuff. But there were a few problems. One of my favorites was that I specifically said that I don't ship internationally, and someone from Japan bids on my stuff. Yeah, that was interesting.

It'll be fun tomorrow to go to the post office and show up with a basket full of packages to send them off. Fuuuuuuuunnn.
